WHAT’S NEW

The Kingdom just got a little shy, a little sleepy, and a whole lot scarier!

In Update 93, three new characters are arriving to Disney Magic Kingdoms:

Inside Out 2 – Embarrassment is here! This bashful emotion is a little more on the quiet side, but he's ready to join the fun.

Monsters, Inc. – Henry J. Waternoose has arrived, bringing his business-first attitude (and some scary plans) to the Kingdom.

Alice in Wonderland – The Dormouse might feel sleepy at times but is never one to miss a tea party!

Dreamland Quest – April 30th – May 5th

Dreamland Quest is a short event, where you can get lots of free rewards, including a Legendary Chest of your choice.

Select your own main reward and switch it if you want to;
Tap a cell to see a task you need to complete;
Complete tasks in the cells to claim a reward and unlock a fragment;
Complete a row or a column to open a chest;
Complete all tasks to unlock the Main Reward and open the image.

Start 8 parades
Convert 15 items using Merlin’s Cauldron
Open 35 chests
Complete 12 character wishes
Collect magic from Attractions 15 times
Skip 240 minutes

Quality of Life Changes

Google Play Games

Starting with UP93, you will be able to play Disney Magic Kingdoms on Google’s official Android emulator for PC: https://play.google.com/googleplaygames

Main Interface Icons Improvements

New events have been introduced to the game, and the available space for entry points has become increasingly limited. We’ve redesigned the entry points on the main display to reorganize button priorities and optimize space to better accommodate these new events.

The Calendar icon is moved to the Activity Zone after the “Busy Character” icon
The Chests icon is removed from the main screen since the same functionality can be found in the Shop or in Tasks (if the chest is available)
In the Activity Zone, there are entry points with green (Watch Video Advertisement for gems) and blue (Busy Characters, Calendar, Hidden Chests) backgrounds. The green background is used for dynamic entry points that disappear after use, while the blue background indicates entry points that remain on the screen

Merlin’s Shop Improvements

To enhance the experience in Merlin’s Shop, we have introduced categories and collection filters.

There are four categories: All, Character Tokens, Fabric Tokens, and Building Relics
You can select the collection for which you need items using the Filter button
Once the filter is applied, the "Reset Filter" button will appear at the bottom right of the shop menu, and the "Filter" button will have a glowing outline to indicate that the filter is active
The filter remains active when you navigate to other categories until they click the "Reset Filter" button
If the applied filter does not match any available items, the message "No items match the current filters" will be displayed in the center of the screen.

Furthermore, there will be no random refreshes in Merlin’s Shop. We have also removed the unnecessary “+” symbol indicating “Add Character Scroll” from Merlin’s Shop. This symbol will still be present in other locations, such as the Bundle Shop and Collection Book.

Sending Home / Back to Kingdom Improvements

To enhance the experience of interaction with characters that are at Home at the moment, we’ve streamlined the process for returning them to the Kingdom.

You no longer need to open the Collection Book twice to return a character. The new process is now half as lengthy:
- Click on “Return”
- If you have 100 characters in the Kingdom, the next step will prompt you to “Manage”
- Select the character you want to send Home, instead of the one you are returning to the Kingdom
- Confirm your choice
- Congratulations! You’ve successfully returned a character to the Kingdom!
There will also be a new icon at the top right of the level-up button when the character is at Home.

Build Mode Improvements

Starting with this update, navigating in Build Mode will be much easier!

Instead of just text buttons, you will now find icon buttons for each category: All, Attractions, Concessions, and Decorations
The Concession category has been expanded from one to four different sub-categories: Souvenir, Drink, Headwear, and Food
Similarly, the Decoration category has been enhanced to include five sub-categories: Trophy, Greenery, Monument, Scenery, and Amenity
You can now sort buildings by rarity, and you will also be able to see building rewards (tokens, magic, experience) and timers directly in Build Mode

Kingdom Pass: Dynamic Reward

Dynamic reward contains a pool of available characters, costumes and an alternative reward - a chest with amazing rewards. If you have already welcomed all the characters and received all the costumes from the set, you will only have access to the alternative reward - the Elegant Chest.

Balancing Changes

Why do we rebalance the game? Disney Magic Kingdoms is a game with many interconnected systems. Since our initial launch, we have added a lot of new features and content, and each time we do this, it can significantly affect how these systems interact with each other. To ensure that the gameplay experience remains as intended, we are sometimes required to make balancing changes. Ultimately, rebalancing the game is necessary so that Disney Magic Kingdoms is fun and enjoyable for all. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
