WHAT'S NEW

Spring has arrived on Ant Island!

The colony has spent a long winter rebuilding from the grasshoppers’ attack, and it’s finally time to take a well-deserved break. Even most of the Circus Bugs have taken a weekend trip into the city to take in a show or two - except for Heimlich, who has a feeling he’s going to start pupating any day now. But when Hopper makes an unexpected return, it’s up to Flik, Dot, and Atta to send him packing!

Quality of Life Changes

Collection Book Changes

As the number of Collections and Characters that are added to the game continues to grow, it would take a wizard to sort through all that content efficiently!

We want to make this task easier for those who are not magically inclined. The Collection Book will now make it easier to see the different Collections in the game and track the completion progress for each.

How to access the Collection Book

You can open the Collection Book in the following ways:

Collections Button in the bottom right-hand corner
Castle on Main Street
Character button in Shop

When the Collection Book is opened, you will be brought to the main screen which will show your Favorited Characters, Overall Collection Summary, and Character List.

A) Overall Collection summary including Characters, Costumes, Floats, and Building types that are currently owned.

B) Ability to expand or collapse the view to show more or fewer Collections.

C) Opens the current Character management pop-up

D) Indicates when there’s a Character ready to level up in that Collection

Favorite Characters

Favorite Characters will be displayed on the first screen of the Collection Book. Characters can be added or removed from Favorites from their Character Page. Tapping on a Favorite Character will redirect to that Character Page.

A maximum of four (4) Characters can be favored at a time. If a Character is favored and it exceeds this limit, then a pop-up will appear to indicate that the maximum number of Favorite Characters have been selected.

Navigating the Collection Book

A) Navigation Tabs. This will sort collections accordingly based on the category selected.

B) An overview of how much has been completed of that Collection. Tapping on the (?) icon will show what still needs to be collected for the Collection.

C) The Checkmark icon will indicate if a Collection is complete.

D) There is a reward to collect in that Collection.

Collections

Collections with multiple pages will be displayed as tabs. Newly available Characters will be indicated by a (!) symbol on the Collection Tab.

Balancing Changes

Why do we rebalance the game? Disney Magic Kingdoms is a game with many interconnected systems. Since our initial launch, we have added a lot of new features and content, and each time we do this, it can significantly affect how these systems interact with each other. To ensure that the gameplay experience remains as intended, we are sometimes required to make balancing changes. Ultimately, rebalancing the game is necessary so that Disney Magic Kingdoms is fun and enjoyable for all. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
